Overview: As vital as technology is to an organization's operations and success, it is still common that there is not a seat at the ELT table for the technology leader. Similarly, it is a constant battle to change the perception that IT is a cost center and not a value enabler. Therefore, a CIO will deal with a myriad of politics the business of mergers, acquisitions and pandemics, happen.
George Reichert, CIO of Genworth, will lead a discussion on he has navigated corporate politics and positioned technology during transitional times.
Format: This meeting will be delivered via web conference. The discussion format will interview-style, with George providing an overview and lead on discussion questions. But the main goal is to have an engaged discussion with all participants.
